I'm happy to report I'm keeping the weight off—way over a year later! That is the biggest testament I have. It's peace of mind knowing a diet will work in the long run. I can honestly say it does.

"5 Fat-Busting Myths EXPOSED"
Are you FED UP with the old DIET INDUSTRY?
Yes, you CAN lose weight!
It's that time of the year when we create those New Year's Resolutions that are doomed to fail in the long run. Why do they fail? Because we have that fear factor of failure already built in, and it's second-nature to think "What's the point in losing weight when it'll all come back on in six months?"
If we don't really try, it doesn't matter if we fail—because we're used to being the weight we are. We subconsciously accept failure (so we don't need to try). This way, when the weight loss doesn't work—for ever—we don't get hurt as much, mentally, when we cannot reach, or stay at goal weight.
The story above was my life for the past thirty to forty years.
Going on
diets, losing the weight, then gaining it ALL back.
Feeling like a big
fat failure.
If you're 'thinking' about losing weight, you've got to drop the 'what's the point' excuse. Please OPTIN above for our "Keto Diet Stuff You WANT To Know" newsletter and get my eBook for free!
What made Keto work IN THE LONG RUN for me? Yes, I used caps for "in the long run" because that is our long-term goal, right?
To reiterate, we only go on weight loss diets the first of the year because we think it's the right thing to do. But half-hearted attempts (at anything!) won't get the job done.
BUT what if you went at it with a different mindset? What if you had that confidence that when you reach goal, you'll stay there? And THAT is why I'm writing this post. To let you know that keeping the weight off is NOT scary but more importantly: It's DOABLE.
When I started out on Keto, I felt I had nothing to lose (but the weight) and so I was over the moon when the fat dropped off. Then, if we're totally honest with ourselves, it's at THIS TIME that we start to panic.
Dropping the pounds was the EASY part;
it's KEEPING THE WEIGHT OFF that's the hard part.
I'm so HAPPY to report that I'm keeping the weight off and it's been about a year since I reached goal. But the real question is, "How do you remain at/near goal weight?"
About half way through getting down to goal weight (six months in), I felt like I was missing out on certain everyday items, like a slice of buttered toast. I knew that bread was off-limits, and cakes, etc. I also knew that flour and sugar were the most addictive things on this planet. I also knew that in order to remain at a healthy weight, I could NOT revert to old eating habits.
As stated, it was about six months in and I was delighted with my progress. It's also when the worry of keeping the weight off started creeping in.
I need to go back to the beginning and tell you how I lost fifty pounds in the first place! I was quite strict with myself—which is easy to do when you first start out (doing anything!) that you fully put your mind to.
The pounds dropped off. But then I realized I was missing eating bread. It's the flour in the bread that's addictive and ends up clinging to our middles. The dreaded carbs. So what did I do? I came across ThinSlim Foods—and their bread is absolutely delicious. It's filled with fiber, and we all know that fiber fills you up. But fiber's magic is this: Fiber keeps your blood levels even, which keeps blood sugar spikes to a minimum.
Instead of eating a slice of regular bread at 15g of carbs PER slice (and about 13g NET carbs), I now eat a slice of ThinSlim bread at ZERO grams NET carbs. And their bread tastes G-R-E-A-T.

The amazing thing about ThinSlim breads is it's REALLY filling! With the old bread I used to eat, I could devour it in thirty seconds. With ThinSlim Foods breads, it takes TEN times as long to eat—there's NO WAY I can rush it.
It's the fiber in it that not only slows down my capacity to eat it too fast, but keeps my blood sugar levels in check. Without the sugar spikes, we keep on an even keel, and that keeps our hands out of the cookie jar. And ultimately leads to keeping the weight off—for ever!
Check out the ads from ThinSlim Foods below! THEY have bread and cakes YOU CAN enjoy with zero guilt and zero net-carbs AND they also have low-carb options, too! Perfect for a Keto diet.
